Thought of a way to make missiles balanced:
Step one: Take away missile full auto (it'll be semo-auto), slow down the ROF, and give it slight tracking. Slightly buff direct damage. keep splash the same.
Step two: Create a new turret type, call them Rockets, give them full auto, but slightly less missiles per mag, dumbfire, less damage than missiles (both splash and direct), but mkae splash radius higher.
step three: Watch as likes are thrown at you.

I was somehow able to get on another team of a friend of mine, told him to call out a Maddy, and let me see if I could 1 burst him. With 2 hardeners on, and him moving (wouldn't been fun otherwise), I still 1 bursted him. They are OP.

Not small, large. Smalls aren't really OP, and yes I agree that the rest suck. Maybe this should be a variation of the Large ones only?

missiles are far worse at fighting double shield hardnered tanks than blasters are mainly mainly due to shields resiistng 20-30% base explosive damage befor hardners.
if you catch any tank off guard with modded at-xt missiles it will be 1 volleyed. but these are ridicluos hard to aim and kill targets with.
hitting infantry is a challenge and is satisying if you hit them.
so no missiles are not OP.
they have low tracking and slow reloading and basically reley on that 1 volley to kill. and if a missile misses enemy tank lives.
missiles : currently fine.
1: I've had no trouble with not missing. I also got rapid reload.
2: I can easily pop shield hardened Gunnlogi's with a ST missile launcher. I usually use the AT. I haven't used the XT yet.
3: read #1
4: I said nothing about infantry. fighting infantry is balanced with missiles.
5: I just proved twice that it is.

step three: Watch as likes are thrown at you. Call them rockets? Lol. Rockets exist in EVE. They are short range missiles. Sorry, idea already taken. Just needs to be implemented in DUST. But, then so do ammo types too.
